The account of American actress Sydney Sweeney on the social network X has been hacked. The attackers used it to promote cryptocurrencies, in particular, those created using the pump-and-dump scheme. On July 2, after the SWEENEY token was launched on the Solana platform, its trading volume exceeded $10 million within two hours. However, the price of the coin fell by almost 90% after a while, and the market capitalization is $1.2 million, which is significantly lower than the peak of $3.85 million. The administrator of the Telegram channel associated with the asset claimed responsibility for hacking Sweeney's account. In the deleted posts, the hackers said that the attack on the accounts of rapper 50 Cent and former Hulk Hogan fighter was also the result of their work. The attackers added that the next target would be an even more popular personality, but did not provide specific details. This is the second time Sweeney's account has been hacked to promote digital assets. In January, hackers used it to advertise the MILK token from Solana. At the same time, many celebrities participated in the launch of electronic currencies on their own accord. Among them: are Caitlyn Jenner, Iggy Azalea, Rich the Kid, David Adedeji Adeleke Oyon, and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. The most successful among celebrity tokens was the MOTHER coin from singer Azalea, which reached a peak market capitalization of $148.9 million. However, these figures have since dropped by almost $100 million.
