25.02.2026

Tether (USDT) capitalization has reached a record high, surpassing the $110 billion mark, despite recent market fluctuations and a decline in early 2026. According to leading analytics platforms, January and February 2026 saw a consistent decline in the volume of USDT in circulation - the first time since 2022 that the market has recorded two consecutive months of declining stablecoin capitalization. In January, USDT capitalization decreased by 1.5%, and in February - by another 0.8%, due to increased volatility in cryptocurrency markets and a short-term decrease in demand for stablecoins. However, by the end of February 2026, the volume of USDT in circulation began to grow again, allowing Tether to renew its historic high. As of today, the capitalization of USDT is $110.4 billion, which confirms the steady demand for stablecoins as a tool to preserve value and provide liquidity during periods of market instability.Experts note that despite the temporary decline, USDT remains a key element of the digital asset infrastructure. More than 70% of all transactions on the largest cryptocurrency exchanges are conducted using USDT, which emphasizes its importance for the global financial market. The growth of USDT capitalization testifies to investors' confidence in stablecoins as a means of hedging risks and rapid transfer of value, especially in high volatility conditions.
